2010 Summer Special Events
Quilt Auction
The 19th annual Quilt Auction will be held on August 7yh. Over 200 quilts are expected to be auctioned off. If you have quilts, woodcrafts, or other craft items that you would like to donate to camp, get them to the Island as soon as possible.
The Quilt Auction weekend will also be set aside for several other events. Friday, August 6 through Sunday August 8 will be a reunion weekend for former staff and campers.
Saturday the 7th at 9:00 we'll be rededicating the chapel following a comprehensive renovation to winterize and completely redo the exterior and interior including a new store and canteen and new bathrooms.
On Sunday the 8th at 2:00 pm we will have a good old-fashioned mission festival at camp to kick-off the Make A World For Christ Appeal. Pastor Dave Strohschein will be the guest speaker with the worship service being led with music by Zamar, a praise band from Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Alexandria. Activities will include the water front, tours, wagon rides, great food, and music.
LWML Retreat
The LWML has a goal to have 100 or more women join the summer celebration which is the LWML Retreat.
Dates: August 13-15
Cost: Friday through Sunday $80; Friday and Saturday - $50; Saturday only $30. Registration fees increase after August 1.
