Preparing for College

Statistics tell us that 80% of young people will drift away from their faith by the time they have completed college. Often it is because their core beliefs are challenged day in and day out by professors who know how to ridicule and make fun of Christian beliefs. This is especially true in the area of science. This weekend event will be led by Brian Young. Brian will provide resources and information needed by young people so that they can faithfully reflect their Christian values and beliefs. This is a must for juniors and seniors in high school.

Formally advertised as “Super Teen Gathering,” we’ve added a kick to the weekend which we think you’ll enjoy. Weekend events include speaker Ted Kober, who will enlighten on the Tempting Tricks of Technology, and a high-energy, Christian rock concert with Hyland, a fresh band from Minneapolis. Lutheran Island Camp is just the right place where summer sun, a sandy beach, and fellowship are combined. So bring your whole youth group, a tent or two, and your youth leader to the hottest gathering of summer 2009! (No really, it’s hot in July so bring your swimsuits!)
