On-Line Bidding 

How it works:  First of all, please remember that this is a charity auction and that the proceeds are intended to help young people come to camp who otherwise would not be able to afford to come.  Some of the funds received will be matched dollar for dollar by other generous donors.

1.)    You may bid on any of the quilts listed on our website.  We will then have a volunteer on the day of the auction who will represent you in the bidding.

2.)    You must be a registered on-line bidder to participate. To become a bidder, please send the following information to us by e-mail : Name, Address, Phone Number, Credit Card information including whether it is Visa or Mastercard, card #, date of expiration, and name on the card.  You will be identified on the website by the first initial of your first name, the last letter of your last name and the last four digits of your phone number. Bill Smith at 320-555-1234 would be identified as Bh1234.  That will be the way to determine your status on a quilt.

3.)    You may submit your bids to quiltauction@islandcamp.org or you may call them in to 218-583-2905 (leave message on Bill’s voicemail) if you are registered. We will not accept bids after 11:59 pm on August 1. We will acknowledge your bid by return e-mail. It is not valid until you have received that acknowledgement.

4.)    The quilts will be on pages and will have a number. To bid on a quilt identify it as page 1 #12. 

1.)    In the event that you win the bid, you will be charged the final bid amount that you made on-line or by phone even if that bid is more than the final bid during the auction.

1.)    You must have a credit card account # on record with Lutheran Island Camp in order to place an on-line bid or phone bid. Your card will be charged the full amount of your bid on August 2^nd  or 3^rd should you win the bid.

1.)    We will charge actual postage plus a $5.00 processing fee to your credit card on the day that we send it to you.  You may pick up your quilt at camp.  Quilts will be shipped to you the week of August 3^rd.

1.)    If you decide to attend the Auction on August 2^nd, we will still be using your final bid from on-line or phone on those quilts that you bid on.

1.)    Lutheran Island Camp will not be held responsible for any issues that result from problems of communication, disruption of internet or phone service, acts of nature, or other situations beyond our control.

1.)    All quilts are described as best as possible, but Lutheran Island Camp will not be held liable for any errors or omissions in the descriptions, cost of materials, type of workmanship or other descriptive information either we or the artists may provide.

1.)    In the event of a dispute, Lutheran Island Camp will provide a debit to your card in the amount of the original charge.

1.)    Lutheran Island Camp will use every effort to protect your identity and personal information. If your would prefer to register by phone, please do so between the hours of 8:30 am and 3:30 pm. Monday through Friday.
