Trinity Lutheran-Bemidji Sunday School provideds gift.

The children of Trinity Lutheran Church in Bemidji presented Director of Planning and Resource Development, Bill Schultz with a check for $500 for the Creation-Science Environmental Learning Center at Christ Serve Ranch.

Walter Goedel Charitable fund provides gift to camp!

Our sincere thanks to Walter Goedel, former board member and St. John's Lutheran - Wadena member recently provided a wonderful cash gift to camp. Mr. Goedel set up the charitable fund some time ago and has provided several gifts to camp including a new pontoon, cash gifts, and most recently a new wagon for our Horse Outreach Program.

Our Summer Schedule is now on the website. Watch for more details including special events, rates, and further registration information. We've added several new events and have lowered rates on several early summer programs.

Spring Clean-up

Spring Clean-up was held April 23-25 with Saturday the 24th as the actual Clean-up day. We had lots of help, but we still have many more projects that need work. If you have a day or two to give, please let us know. We have need for help with cleaning, work in the chapel, cutting wood, and many other projects.

Chapel Progress being made

We want to thank the many individuals and congregations that have already supported our effort to improve and winterize the Chapel. We recently received a $30,000 gift to help put in the bathrooms. The donor would like to challenge others to match her generosity. Let's see how long it takes to match her $30,000 gift. We've already received a enough for the framing of the canteen and new store.

 

	Board President David Vik was one of the volunteers from St. John's Lutheranin Park Rapids tearing down the old kitchen/canteen.
The Canteen was the latest part of the Chapel to get a facelift.
	This scaffolding was used by members of Messiah in Sartell as they put paneling on the ceiling of another section.
There are still two sections remaining to be panelled. Each section costs about $1800 in materials. Once the panelling is complete, we'll move on to a heating system.

Retreat Season Continues at the Island!

Lutheran Island Camp is pleased to announce a very busy spring schedule. There still is lots of room for your group of elders, lay leaders, youth, or families. Please contact camp soon to schedule your spring, summer, and fall plans.

Want to help with the renovation and winterization of the Chapel? We have several projects going on this Spring.  Call Marvin if you have some time to help us.

Servant Event volunteers as well as staff and other volunteers have renovated the exterior of the Chapel. The interior renovation will be completed by June of this year.

 

Many of our programs this fall, winter, and early spring will include a trip to the Thumper Pond Water Park.
