Gather with other pastors' wives for Bible study, prayer, meaningful fellowship, and time to encourage one another in the unique vocation of supporting Christ's Church. Enjoy delicious meals, peaceful moments in God's creation, and optional activities like kayaking, campfires, and lakeside walks. Return home refreshed by Christ's promises and strengthened for the work He has entrusted to your family.

Parent Child Horse Weekends

The horses are still here, the trails are even more beautiful, and camp isn't over yet! Join us for Fall Parent & Child Horse Camp and experience the best of Lutheran Island Camp in a whole new season. Ride together through colorful autumn woods, gather around the campfire, grow together in God's Word, and enjoy the peaceful pace of fall while making memories that will last a lifetime.
The weekend follows a schedule similar to our popular summer horse camps, giving families the opportunity to enjoy horseback riding, horsemanship instruction, trail rides, chapel, campfires, games, and plenty of time to simply be together. Whether you're returning because you can't get enough of horse camp or experiencing it for the first time, this weekend is a wonderful way to share the joy of camp with your child.
Children must be at least 8 years old to participate.

Fall Adventure

Summer camp may be over, but camp isn't quite finished yet. If you found yourself wishing for just one more weekend at Lutheran Island Camp, Fall Adventure Camp is for you. Held over MEA weekend, this camp follows a schedule similar to our Classic Camp and offers another opportunity to enjoy many of the activities that make summer at camp so memorable.
Spend the weekend making friends, enjoying favorite camp activities, gathering for chapel and campfires, and experiencing the beauty of the Island in the fall. It's a chance to slow down, reconnect, and spend a few more days growing in faith while enjoying the fun and community of camp.
Whether you joined us this summer or are looking for your first camp experience, Fall Adventure Camp is a wonderful way to experience Lutheran Island Camp in a different season and make a few more camp memories before winter arrives.
Maplewood Horse Adventure
October 16-18th, 2026
Friday-Saturday: $300/person
Experience the beauty of autumn from the saddle during our Maplewood Horse Retreat for adults ages 18 and older. We'll spend the weekend enjoying scenic rides through Maplewood State Park, where we hope to catch Minnesota's fall colors at their peak. The horses will meet us at Maplewood on Saturday, allowing us to enjoy a full day on the trails before returning to Lutheran Island Camp each evening.
Unlike last year, you'll end the day in a warm bed back at camp while still enjoying all the adventure and beauty that make this retreat so special. Along with horseback riding, there will be time for fellowship, campfires, devotions, and quiet moments to enjoy God's creation during one of the most beautiful seasons of the year.
Whether you're an experienced rider or simply looking for a peaceful fall getaway with fellow horse lovers, this retreat offers a wonderful opportunity to slow down, reconnect, and enjoy the changing season from horseback.
